Jew Hatred

There is plenty of hatred and discrimination in this world.  Every time we turn around, it seems to have become more virulent.  But it has existed since the beginning of time.  In the case of Americans, either we or our ancestors came from somewhere else.  Even "native Americans" are descended those who crossed the "Bering land bridge" from Asia.[2]

America's Jews are just as American as I am.[3]  While my ancestors came here from England, Germany, Scotland and Ireland, I have zero doubts that they were discriminated against.  It's human nature.  The Jewish experience is "highlighted" by the Nazi Holocaust; the assertion that they were "Christ killers"; and by the Israelis' butchery in Palestine since 1948.[4]

Tragically, anti-Semitism has spread globally, reaching levels that have not been seen since World War II.  I have had Jewish friends since grade school in Los Angeles, but I have not asked them whether they sense it.  I don't want to insult them, much less heighten fears that they might have for themselves and their families. 

In the final analysis, we can only hope that God's Love will prevail.
