Is College Worth The Hassle Right Now?

Schools during COVID-19 have started close down and have sent millions of students home. This transition has made many high-school seniors rethink their decision to go to college and are steering away from that path because of COVID-19. This pandemic has hit colleges and universities harder than other parts of education and businesses because of the special challenges it now faces. One such challenge is that funding set aside by the U.S. government is not helping as many institutions as it can. Congress, in March 2020, set aside nearly $350 million of COVID-19 relief money to help colleges with ‘severe unmet needs’. But the majority of these funds only ended up going to 20 universities - only benefiting less than 3,000 students. State colleges in New Jersey are having 50% of their funding put into reserve until September 30, the end of the fiscal year.
