How to Optimize Website Images for Better SEO and Search Visibility

From faster load times to link-worthy visuals, smart image optimization can improve website performance, user experience, and organic search visibility.

Images can do much more for SEO than make a website visually appealing. When handled strategically, they can improve page performance, give search engines more context, enhance accessibility, and even become assets that attract backlinks.

Ultimately, optimizing images for SEO is about balancing performance, relevance, and value. Make images fast enough that they do not create unnecessary friction, descriptive enough that their purpose is clear, and useful enough that someone else may want to reference them.
