There's no such thing as a self-made man. The entrepreneurial class, once looked down upon in society, has taken a special place in the economic enrichment of today's market. But how are entrepreneurs made? The process occurs through a special contract with society that has evolved over time - one could argue through a series of historical accidents that reevaluated innovation. This concept has been well elaborated in the recent book by Economist Art Carden and Deirdre Nansen McCloskey: Leave Me Alone and I'll Make You Rich: How the Bourgeois Deal Enriched the World.
The world is better off with the Bourgeois deal which recognizes our ability and right to self-author and does not ask for permission from the elites. This contract also extends liberty and dignity for everyone (all races & colors) while empowering women and minority groups to innovate.
