The total number of M&As of the major tech players has slightly picked up since the 2015 slump, thanks to Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Salesforce (NYSE:CRM).

For the last five years, except for 2013, Google has been top dog in the tech M&A game. Salesforce has been a steady riser since 2014, according to data provided by CB Insights.
