Exploring the AI Tech Stack

The AI agent tech stack is a layered system of tools that is vital for the effective functioning of AI agents.  Understanding how the tech stack works is important for developers.

The foundation of the tech stack is the data collection and integration layer.  In order to reason and act, an agent needs to have an informed understanding of the world.  Data provides this understanding, allowing the agent to make decisions based on real-time and real-world information.

Once a developer has ensured that the agent has access to data, it is time to explore the rest of the tech stack.  Other layers include agent hosting and serving, observability, tool libraries, sandboxes, storage and more.  Each layer has its own unique role in helping the agent be the best version it can be.  When put together, the tech stack creates an invaluable framework for developers.

Being aware of the tools at your fingertips is imperative, and the tech stack is one such tool.  Developers should remember to always start with a strong foundation of data, and then to move through the rest of the tech stack, improving and streamlining the agent as they work.
