Euro Area Credit Growth Has Been Slowing

Bank credit is particularly tight in Italy and Spain, though credit growth seems adequate in France and Germany.

Credit growth has been slowing in the Euro area, but rather unevenly.

Bank credit is particularly tight in Italy and Spain, though credit growth seems adequate in France and Germany.

Nonetheless, sovereign bond yields have been declining in all European countries, though interest rates are still particularly steep in Italy.
