Epicor Names Vaibhav Vohra as Chief Executive Officer

Global enterprise software leader Epicor announced a major executive leadership transition, naming Vaibhav Vohra as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2026. Vohra, who currently serves as President and Chief Product and Technology Officer, will succeed outgoing Chief Executive Officer Steve Murphy at the close of the company's fiscal year on September 30, 2026. Following the transition, Murphy will step down from the top executive post while continuing to serve on Epicor’s Board of Directors.

The leadership change is the result of a structured, multi-year succession planning process led by the Board of Directors. The strategy began with Vohra’s promotion to President in October 2024, reflecting strong institutional confidence in his strategic vision for the company's cloud ERP portfolio. Murphy and Vohra will collaborate closely over the coming weeks to ensure business continuity and seamless operations across Epicor’s global ecosystem of customers, employees, and channel partners.

Jeff Hawn, Chair of Epicor’s Board of Directors, praised Murphy’s transformative tenure while emphasizing Vohra’s readiness to guide the enterprise software provider into its next phase of corporate expansion. Hawn expressed complete confidence in Vohra’s ability to execute long-term strategic growth goals and build upon Epicor's established operational foundation.

Proven Executive Background in Enterprise Software and AI

Vaibhav Vohra joined Epicor in 2021 as Chief Product Officer and quickly assumed expanding responsibilities across software architecture, development, product management, and user design. As Chief Product and Technology Officer and later as President, he spearheaded core initiatives centered on cloud ERP migration, artificial intelligence integration, and data supply chain automation.

Before joining Epicor, Vohra built and scaled technology businesses, holding executive product leadership positions at Gecko Robotics and SAP. His technical expertise and focus on cognitive ERP architectures, such as the deployment of vertical AI agents under the Epicor Prism platform have redefined how manufacturers, distributors, and supply chain enterprises manage daily operations.

Vohra noted that he is honored to lead Epicor as enterprise software enters a transformative era. Reflecting on his five-year tenure, he highlighted the dedication of Epicor’s global workforce and reiterated that the company's focus will remain firmly on empowering industrial customers to scale successfully in dynamic market environments.

Accelerating SaaS Innovation and $1 Billion ARR Growth

Under Steve Murphy’s leadership, Epicor completed a pivotal transition from legacy on-premises software toward a modern, cloud-first Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model. Through targeted internal product development and strategic acquisitions, Epicor expanded its capabilities across manufacturing, distribution, building supply, retail, and automotive supply chain sectors.

A hallmark milestone of Murphy’s tenure was guiding Epicor past $1 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR). This financial benchmark underscores accelerating market adoption of Epicor’s cloud ERP platforms across international markets. Murphy noted that the company’s strong financial health and clear market strategy make this an ideal time for a planned executive transition. He commended Vohra’s instrumental role in shaping the firm's product technology roadmap and expressed full trust in his leadership.

Strategic Outlook and Market Impact

As Epicor prepares for fiscal year 2027, the appointment of a product- and technology-centric CEO signals a continued commitment to SaaS innovation, AI automation, and customer-driven platform enhancements. By placing an executive with direct oversight of product development at the helm, Epicor reinforces its competitive posture in the global cloud ERP market.

The orderly succession ensures uninterrupted service delivery for thousands of essential businesses that rely on Epicor systems to run their manufacturing and supply chain operations worldwide.
