Monday: Preliminary GDP data for the second quarter will be released in Japan. Analysts expect this one to see a very mild 0.7% Annualized Quarter of Quarter growth. August’s Empire Manufacturing Survey will be released in the U.S.
Tuesday: July Consumer Price Index data will be released in the U.K. Analysts expect annual inflation to remain stable at its 0.5%. Germany’s ZEW Survey will also be released, with analysts expecting sizeable recovery for both the Current Situation component, as well as Expectations. In the U.S., July’s Housing Starts data will see light, as will the month’s Consumer Price Index, with analysts seeing annual inflation move away from the Fed’s target, to 0.9%. July’s Industrial Production data will also see light in the U.S.
Wednesday: July labor market data will be released in the U.K., with Unemployment currently at 4.9%. In the U.S., the weekly MBA Mortgage Applications will see light. The Fed is due to release minutes from its July meeting.
Thursday: Final July Consumer Price Index for the Eurozone will see light, with inflation similar to the U.S. at 0.9%. In the U.S., the weekly Initial Jobless Claims will see light, as will July’s Leading Index.
Friday: In Japan, June’s All Industry Activity Index will see light. July’s Consumer Price Index will be released in Canada.
