Economic Events of the Coming Week - 7/3/2016

Tomorrow, Monday - the trading session is expected to be a fairly quite one with U.S. markets closed for Independence Day. Data on the Monetary Base for June will be released in Japan. In Spain, June Unemployment data will see light.

Monday: The trading session is expected to be a fairly quite one with U.S. markets closed for Independence Day. Data on the Monetary Base for June will be released in Japan. In Spain, June Unemployment data will see light.

Tuesday: May Factory Orders data will see light in the U.S. The final estimate of May’s Durable Goods Orders data will also see light.

Wednesday: May Factory Orders data will see light in Germany. In the U.S., the weekly MBA Mortgage Applications data will be released, followed by May’s Trade Balance data. The Fed is also scheduled to release the minutes from its June meeting.

Thursday: May Industrial Production data will see light in Germany and the U.K. In the U.S., June’s ADP Employment Change data will see light, as will the weekly Initial Jobless Claims data. The ECB’s account of the monetary policy meeting is also due.

Friday: May Balance of Payments data will see light in Japan. In France, May Industrial Production data will be released. In Greece, June’s Consumer Price Index will see light. June’s Nonfarm will see light in the U.S. On the one hand, with rate expectations muted as they are, this may be a non-event. On the other hand, following the previous weak 38K figure, the span of possible figures here is quite broad. June’s Unemployment rate will also see light in the U.S., with analysts expecting an increase back to 4.8%.
