Economic Events of the Coming Week -10/9/2016

Monday: August’s Trade Balance data will be released in Germany. In Greece, September’s Consumer Price Index data will see light – analysts expect a fairly massive moderation in annual deflation, from -0.9% to -0.6%.

Tuesday: August’s Balance of Payments data will be released in Japan. In Germany, October’s ZEW Survey will see light. September’s Monthly Budget statement will be released in the U.S.

Wednesday: August Machine Orders data will be released in Japan. The final estimate of September’s Consumer Price Index will be released in France. In the U.S., the weekly MBA Mortgage Applications will be release. In Russia, August’s Trade Balance data will see light. The Fed is scheduled to release the minutes from September’s meeting.

Thursday: August’s Tertiary Industry Index will be released in Japan. In Germany, the final estimate of September’s Consumer Price Index will be released, currently pointing to a 0.7% annual inflation. The weekly Initial Jobless Claims will see light in the U.S., after scoring a fairly low 249K last week.

Friday: In China, September’s Consumer Price Index data will see light. September’s Advance Retail Sales is scheduled to see light in the U.S., followed by the month’s Producer Price Index data and the preliminary estimate of October’s University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index.
