Stocks finished mixed today as investors await the latest Middle East update. The Dow (DIA) stayed hot, adding 263 points for a second straight record close and fifth straight win. The blue-chip index is in the midst of its longest winning streak since May.
The S&P 500 (SPY) and Nasdaq (QQQ), meanwhile, snapped their four-day win streaks, the former retreating from an intraday record peak and the latter dropping triple digits as post-earnings selloffs in SpaceX (SPCX) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) weighed. Elsewhere, the small cap Russell 2000 (RUT) gave back midday gains but still notched an intraday record high.

Gold Prices Are Quietly Climbing
Oil prices were flat today, as black gold awaits the latest U.S.-Iran development and U.S. commercial crude stockpiles rose unexpectedly last week. September-dated West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude finished 0.7% lower to settle at $75.22 per barrel.
Gold prices built on recent gains as the U.S. dollar continued to weaken. August-dated gold futures added 3.7% to settle at $4,305.200 per ounce.
