Dow, Nasdaq Nursing 200-Point Deficits To End The Week

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) and Nasdaq Composite (IXIC) are down over 250 points each headed into end the week. The Iran conflict seems to be here to stay, per a Wall Street Journal report that the U.S. was sending more warships and additional Marines to the Middle East. Oil prices have stabilized somewhat today compared to its frenetic rise, with West Texas Intermediate (WTI) last seen up 0.4%. Nevertheless, all three major indexes are eyeing their fourth-straight weekly loss.

AST SpaceMobile Inc (ASTS) is seeing a surge in options activity today. At last look, 67,000 calls have exchanged hands, volume that's double the average intraday amount and more than triple the number of puts traded. The March 100 call is seeing sell-to-open activity, while there is some spread activity going on at the March 82 call, both of which expire today. The satellite stock is up 1.2% to trade at $95.18 at last check, likely getting a halo lift from Planet Labs (PL) stock's post-earnings pop. ASTS boasts a 283% year-over-year lead and is 30% higher in 2026. 

Dell Technologies Inc (DELL) shares are near the top of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) today, last seen up 5% to trade at $164.61. While there's no specific catalyst, the tech stock could be getting a lift from the legal hot water that Super Micro Computer (SMCI) is currently embroiled in. DELL earlier secured a 52-week high of $169.90, and is now up 30% in 2026.

Tesla Inc (TSLA) stock is among the IXIC laggards, down 1.8% to trade at $373.19. HSBC trimmed the EV company's price target to $119 from $133. There's also possible uneasiness over Dutch regulators approving Tesla's full self-driving system and larger-scale EU-wide approval this summer. Tesla stock is down 17% year to date, testing its 320-day moving average today.
