I’m not really sure what it might mean for equities, but I think the US dollar is going to start really heading south.

I’m not really sure what it might mean for equities, but I think the US dollar is going to start really heading south. The dollar index, as shown below, peaked a number of weeks ago. Since then, it has been – – to put it kindly – – sloppy.

I think the Japanese Yen, which has been rushing toward one-ply toilet paper status for years now, is going to bounce higher. The chart below shows how USD/JPY has broken a short-term trendline, and I think the down-move in USD versus the JPY could accelerate.
