Do Your Employees Know How to Recognize Phishing Emails?

Learn more about how to protect yourself from email phishing and cybersecurity threats.

You already know that you get a plethora of spam and phishing and emails on a daily basis, but you may not be aware that there are actually 14.5 million spam emails and 3 billion phishing emails sent out every single day. While spam emails are just irritating or inappropriate, phishing emails are much more sinister as they are actually attacks intended to gather personal information from the recipient. Unfortunately, this doesn’t only affect the single recipient either.

These attacks can be a gateway for large scale attacks on even the most massive companies. It’s important for each individual to be able to recognize a phishing email when they see one. These emails can include money scams, address spoofing, malware warnings, spearphishing, extortion, and credential harvesting. Phishing has become big business. The real cost of phishing often comes in the form of money and time lost, negative effects on customers retention, and loss of productivity. Businesses must have measures in place to combat these attacks 24/7.
