The company was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in Lincoln, NE.
NRC Health (NRC) provides analytics and insights that facilitate patient, employee, and customer retention.
It offers solutions about market insight, experience, transparency, and governance for healthcare providers, payers, and other healthcare organizations.
Three key data points gauge NRC (or any dividend-paying entity):
(1) Price
(2) Dividends
(3) Returns
Those three keys also indicate if any company has made, is making, and will make money.
NRC Price
NRC Health’s single share price increased $6.80 (or about 23.3%) from $14.22 to $21.02 in the past year, per Tuesday’s opening market report.
One analyst covers the stock. And she suggests the price will grow $1.98 in the coming year. However, the NRC past thirteen-year price history shows an average $0.63 annual price gain, which I’ll use for its annual return, after I discuss dividends.
NRC Dividends
NRC Health has paid variable quarterly dividends since January 2015. The most recent Q dividend of $0.16 was paid July 10th (to shareholders of record June 26th, yielding 2.99% annually (per Tuesday’s opening market report)
NRC Returns
Putting it all together, as of July 21st, a possible gross gain of $1.27 was projected. The $0.63 per share historic annual gain was added to the $0.64 forward-looking annual dividend to make that $1.27 gross gain.
A little over $1000 invested in NRC Health at Tuesday’s $21.02 opening share price would buy 48 shares, which multiply the $1.27 gross gain to $60.42 for the coming year, or about 6.04%.
My dividend dogcatcher rule is to only buy initial shares of a dividend stock that pay an annual dividend (from $1000 invested) that is greater than the cost of one share.
NRC’s projected annual dividend from $1K invested is $29.90. As NRC Health shows, an annual dividend from $1,000 invested at a $21.02 price proves to be $8.88 or about 42% more than its recent single share price.
The exact track of NRC’s future share price and dividend will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.
Remember, the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
