The company was founded in June 2006 and is headquartered in Shangrao, China.

JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (JKS) manufactures solar modules. It distributes solar products and sells its solutions and services to various international utility, commercial, and residential customers.

Three key data points gauge JKS (or any dividend-paying entity):

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three keys also indicate if any company has made, is making, and will make money.

JKS Price

JinkoSolar’s single share price fell $8.23 (or about 36%) from $23.13 to $14.90 in the past year, per Wednesday’s opening market report.

7 analysts cover the stock. The median of their one-year price projections projects a $10.40 gain for the coming year.

However, the average of the past seven-year price progressions shows an average annual gain of $2.18, which I’ll use for the annual return after I discuss dividends.

JKS Dividends

JinkoSolar has paid annual dividends since December 2023. Its most recent dividend of $1.50 was paid July 9 (to shareholders of record June 22nd, yielding 10.05% annually (per Wednesday’s opening market report)

JKS Returns

Putting it all together, as of July 29th, a possible gross gain of $3.68 was projected. The $2.18 per share average annual gain was added to the $1.50 forward-looking annual dividend to make that $3.68 gross gain.

A little under $1000 invested in JinkoSolar Holding Co at Wednesday’s $14.90 opening share price would buy 67 shares which multiply the $3.68 gross gain to $246.98 for the coming year, or about 24.7%.

My dividend dogcatcher rule is to only buy initial shares of a dividend stock that pay an annual dividend (from $1000 invested) that is greater than the cost of one share.

JinkoSolar projected annual dividend from $1K invested is $100.50. JKS shows an annual dividend which proves to be almost 6.75 times more than the recent $14.90 single-share price.

The exact track of JKS’s future share price and dividend will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.

Remember, the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
