This company was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in New York, NY.

International Seaways Inc (INSW) provides transportation of crude oil and petroleum products.

Three key data points gauge INSW (or any dividend-paying entity):

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three keys also indicate if any company has made, is making, and will make money.

INSW Price

International Seaways’ single share price climbed 118% in the past year, from $45.23 to $98.81 per Friday’s closing market report.

Six analysts cover the stock and the median of their obeyer target price estimates projected a $1.19 annual price gain. However, the average of INSW’s past five year price progression from  $17.07 to $98.81 shows an average annual gain of about $16.35.

So, by averaging the analyst estimated annual $1.19 price upside against the $16.35 five year annual average performance gives a $9.73 annual gain estimate, which I’ll use for the coming year’s  returns which must include the annual dividends, too.

INSW Dividends

INSW has paid variable Quarterly dividends since July 2010. The most recent Q dividend of $5.05 (equating to $20.20 annually) is due to be paid September 24th, 2026 (to shareholders of record September 10th) yielding 20.44% annually (per Friday’s closing market report.)

INSW Returns

Putting it all together, as of August 28th, a possible gross gain of $29.93 was projected.

To get there, our $9.73 per share averaged annual gain was added to the $20.20 presumed forward-looking annual dividend to make that $29.93 gross gain.

A little under $1000 invested in INSW at Friday’s $98.81 closing share price would buy 10 shares which multiply the hypothetical $29.93 gross gain to $302.90 for the coming year, or 30.29%.

My dividend dogcatcher rule is to only buy initial shares of a dividend stock that pay an annual dividend (from $1000 invested) that is greater than the cost of one share.

INSW’s projected annual dividend from $1K invested is $204.40, and that annual dividend proves to be over 2 times more than its recent $98.81 single-share price.

The exact track of INSW’s future share price and dividend will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.

Remember, the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
