Twenty-one analysts cover the stock and the median of their one year price targets projects a $1.76 one year price target gain, which I’ll use to calculate returns after I discuss dividends.

Ford has paid variable quarterly dividends since February 2000. The most recent Q payout of $0.15 is payable June 1 (to shareholders on record as of May 12) for a forward annual yield of 4.98%

Putting it all together, as of May 12 a possible gross gain of $2.36 was projected by the $1.76 per share annual gain added to the $0.60 forward looking annual dividend.
A little over $1000 invested in Ford at Tuesday’s $11.96 opening share price would buy 84 shares which multiply the $2.36 gross gain to $197.72 for the coming year, or 19.77%.
My dividend dogcatcher rule is to only buy initial shares of a dividend stock that pay an annual dividend (from $1000 invested) that is more than the cost of a single share.
