Current Report: Enghouse Systems Might Gain 10.74% In A Year

Enghouse Systems targets a 10.74% total return, driven by a 7.17% dividend yield and projected price gains.

Enghouse Systems Ltd (EGHSF) was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Markham, Canada.

The company provides enterprise software solutions serving a variety of vertical markets in two particular segments: Interactive Management Group (IMG) and Asset Management Group (AMG).

Three key data points gauge EGHSF (or any dividend-paying entity):

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three keys also indicate if any company has made, is making, and will make money.

EGHSF Price

Enghouse Systems’ single share price fell $2.12 or nearly 14.5% in the past year, from $14.60 to $12.48 per Friday’s closing market report.

No analysts cover the stock. However, EGHSF’s past twenty-year price progression from $3.60 to $12.48 shows an average annual gain of about $0.44 as a prediction for the coming year’s returns. I’ll use that number to calculate returns after I discuss EGHSF dividends.

EGHSF Dividends

Enghouse Systems has paid variable quarterly dividends since May, 2007.

The most recent Q dividend of $0.2237 was paid August 28th, 2026 (to shareholders of record August 14th), yielding $0.895 or 7.17% annually (per Friday’s closing market report).  The next dividend is payable November 27th to shareholders of record November 13th.

EGHSF Returns

Putting it all together, as of October 16th, a possible Enghouse Systems gross gain of $1.34 was projected.

To get there, our $0.44 per share calculated annual price gain was added to the $0.895 presumed forward-looking annual dividend to make that $1.34 gross gain.

A little over $1000 invested in EGHSF at Friday’s $12.48 closing share price would buy 80 shares which multiply the hypothetical $1.034 gross gain to $107.37 for the coming year, or about 10.74%.

By the way, my dividend dogcatcher rule is to only buy initial shares of a dividend stock that pay an annual dividend (from $1000 invested) that is greater than the cost of one share.

Enghouse Systems’ projected annual dividend from $1K invested is $71.70, and that annual dividend proves to be about 5.75 times its Friday $12.48 single-share price.

The exact track of EGHSF’s future share price and dividend will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.

Remember, the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
