The company was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.

Elekta AB (EKTAF) provides clinical solutions to treat cancers and brain disorders.

Three key data points gauge EKTAF (or any dividend-paying entity):

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three keys also indicate if any company has made, is making, and will make money.

EKTAF Price

Elekta’s single share price increased $0.23 (or about 4.6%) from $5.02 to 5.25 in the past year, per Friday’s closing market report.

No analysts cover the stock. However, the EKTAF's past twenty-year price history shows an average $0.11 annual price gain, which I’ll use for its annual return after I discuss dividends.

EKTAF Dividends

Elekta has paid annual dividends since September 2005. Converting to semi-annual mode in 2013. The most recent SA dividend of $0,1352 was paid March 11th (to shareholders of record March 6th, yielding 5.15% annually (per Friday’s closing market report)

EKTAF Returns

Putting it all together, as of July 17th, a possible gross gain of $0.38 was projected. The $0.11 per share historic annual gain was added to the $0.27 forward-looking annual dividend to make that $0.38 gross gain.

A little over $1000 invested in Elekta at Friday’s $5.25 closing share price would buy 190.5 shares, which multiply the $0.38 gross gain to $72.38 for the coming year, or about 7.24%.

My dividend dogcatcher rule is to only buy initial shares of a dividend stock that pay an annual dividend (from $1000 invested) that is greater than the cost of one share.

EKTAFs projected annual dividend from $1K invested is $51.50. As Elekta shows, an annual dividend from $1,000 invested at a $5.25 price proves to be 9.8 times its recent single share price.

The exact track of EKTAF’s future share price and dividend will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.

Remember, the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
