America has chosen an unfortunate decade to make it cool to be stupid. A seriously misinformed vocal minority has made themselves heard. To those responsible for submarining the LIC Amazon HQ, here's some news you could have used before you started your attack. Without Amazon's tax revenue, there is no new money. Whatever you think NYC and NYS were going to "give" to Amazon is not money you can now spend. If NYC and NYS collectively had an extra $3 billion lying around in cash, it would have been a different story. No Amazon, no money. It's that simple.
All that was accomplished was the giving away of ~25,000 jobs and the premature end of what would have been a vibrant tech hub for the next 50 years. As always, your thoughts and comments are both welcome and strongly encouraged.
