Starting a business has never been easy, and the odds of long-term success remain challenging. While roughly 80% of businesses survive their first year, only about half are still operating after five years. By the 10-year mark, that figure falls to roughly one-third. However, there is reason for optimism. A surge in new business formation, combined with rapid advances in technology, is lowering startup costs and giving entrepreneurs access to more tools and resources than ever before. If these trends continue, the survival rates of tomorrow's businesses could look very different from those of today.
