Barbarians At The Gate

Will there be “illegal aliens” who reshape our history for the better?

  By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

It is estimated that 20 million illegal aliens are in the United States today; and most have arrived since Joe Biden assumed the presidency.[2]  With them have come hardened criminals; sex traffickers who have preyed on the innocent; killer drugs such as Fentanyl from China; and those who have fled their own countries for a better life in America.[3]

As the Middle East was torn asunder because of wars in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, refugees fled through Greece and other countries for what they perceived as better lives in Europe.  Similarly, as war-torn Israel implodes[4], it can be expected that many Palestinians and other refugees will seek the safety first of neighboring Egypt and Jordan, and then more distant shores that they perceive as safer and more-inviting havens.

This is a tale that has been told down through the centuries, as the Great Alexander and his Macedonians changed the history of the known world.[5]  Then came the Romans; and while many would scoff at the parallels, so did Adolf Hitler and his Nazis, who ushered in the freeways of today, as well as the colonization of the Moon, Mars and beyond.

No one should forget that Wernher von Braun and other Germans gave impetus to our space efforts.[6]  Will there be "illegal aliens" who reshape our history for the better?  There are no indigenous Americans.  All of our ancestors came from somewhere else, including the "native Americans" whose ancestors crossed the "Bering Land Bridge" from Siberia.[7]
