Computer passwords have become a hugely guarded part of our lives since the time of their inception all those decades ago - and for good reason as a small number of passwords can control access to a person’s bank data, sensitive business information, and personal files. But with the power that passwords control, 81% of confirmed data breaches were caused by weak, stolen, or reused passwords, even though the average business user has over 190 passwords.

 

Passwords aren’t as secure as you might think - hackers have come up with ways to not just exploit the tech, but also to exploit the user. Criminals many times will try to manipulate users into giving out their login credentials. They can achieve this by posing as an authority figure, or as tech support, or some other way to create a sense of urgency to lead users into rash actions.
