AlgoWay vs TradersPost for Prop Trading: Which One Fits Better?

Prop trading automation sounds simple until the trader has to choose the execution layer. A TradingView strategy generates an alert, but that alert still has to reach the correct account, translate into the right order, respect the platform's position model and, in many cases, execute across several accounts without creating a synchronization problem.

AlgoWay and TradersPost both solve parts of that workflow, but they approach it differently. TradersPost is especially strong when a trader operates several futures prop accounts through Tradovate or ProjectX. AlgoWay is broader when the trader needs to automate across different prop-trading platforms such as MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradeLocker, MatchTrader, DXtrade, Tradovate or ProjectX.

Where TradersPost Is Strongest

TradersPost has a mature workflow for US futures prop trading. Its prop-firm documentation focuses on Tradovate and ProjectX, and the platform can route one strategy signal to multiple selected prop accounts through Parallel Account Execution.

That matters for traders running many evaluation or funded accounts. TradersPost currently allows additional live and paper accounts to be added to paid plans, making it practical to manage a large futures-account setup from one cloud interface.

For a trader whose requirement is simply TradingView to several Tradovate or ProjectX prop accounts, TradersPost is a natural choice. It also provides a paper environment, manual trade approval and centralized account management that go beyond basic webhook routing.

Where AlgoWay Is Strongest

The prop industry is much broader than futures firms using Tradovate or ProjectX. Forex and CFD prop firms often operate through MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradeLocker, MatchTrader or DXtrade. A trader may also move between those environments as firms, account types or trading conditions change.

AlgoWay is built around that diversity. It acts as an execution-routing layer rather than trying to replace the trading platform itself. Its current public execution catalog includes MetaTrader 5, TradeLocker, MatchTrader, DXtrade, cTrader, Tradovate and ProjectX, alongside other broker and exchange routes.

This makes AlgoWay more flexible when the problem is not simply adding more accounts, but moving the same automation logic across different trading infrastructures.

Multi-Account Scaling: TradersPost Has the Advantage

This is one area where the difference is straightforward. TradersPost is better suited to traders who need to execute the same signal across a large number of futures prop accounts.

AlgoWay's standard Clone Mode supports one main webhook plus up to two clone destinations, for a total of three configured destinations from one incoming signal. That can be enough for a trader running a small set of accounts, but it is not designed to compete with a setup involving ten, twenty or more futures evaluations.

TradersPost currently supports additional live accounts as paid add-ons and is clearly structured around larger multi-account futures workflows.

Platform Diversity: AlgoWay Has the Advantage

The comparison changes when the trader does not stay inside one futures ecosystem. A MetaTrader 5 prop account behaves differently from ProjectX. TradeLocker, cTrader, MatchTrader and DXtrade have their own authentication, order and position models.

AlgoWay was designed around those differences. A TradingView alert can be routed into different execution environments without forcing the trader to rebuild the strategy itself for every destination.

For traders who regularly move between firms, this may be more valuable than having a more advanced central account dashboard.

The Execution Philosophy Is Different

The easiest way to understand the difference is architectural.

TradersPost brings broker and prop accounts into a centralized cloud trading environment and manages strategy subscriptions, account selection and execution from there.

AlgoWay keeps the existing trading environment in place and adds an automation layer between the signal source and the destination account.

That difference also affects troubleshooting. AlgoWay focuses heavily on the execution path itself: webhook payloads, symbol mapping, route settings, broker responses, platform-specific order behavior and execution logs. TradersPost provides more of the overall trading workflow inside its own interface.

Pricing Is Very Different

TradersPost currently lists its Starter plan at $41.65 per month when billed yearly. It includes one live account, while additional live accounts are currently offered as paid add-ons.

AlgoWay plans currently start from $6 per month. That lower entry price makes sense for traders who only need an execution route rather than a larger broker-management environment.

The cheaper product is not automatically the better choice. A trader managing many futures prop accounts may genuinely need the account-management infrastructure TradersPost provides. A trader who needs one TradingView-to-MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker or ProjectX route may have no reason to pay for that larger environment.

Prop-Firm Rules Still Matter

Neither service can make an automation workflow acceptable if the prop firm prohibits it. Automation, copy trading, EAs and external signal execution can be treated differently by each firm and sometimes by different account types within the same firm.

AlgoWay maintains a separate 2026 overview of prop firm automation, EA and copy trading rules, covering firms where traders may need to distinguish between personal automation, own-account copying and prohibited third-party signal activity.

Whatever execution service is used, the trader remains responsible for checking the rules of the actual prop firm before automating a funded or evaluation account.

Which One Fits Better?

There is no useful universal winner.

TradersPost is the stronger choice when the trader primarily uses futures prop firms through Tradovate or ProjectX and wants centralized management of many accounts.

AlgoWay is the stronger choice when the trader needs automation across different prop-trading platforms rather than simply more accounts on the same infrastructure.

If the goal is to scale the number of futures accounts, TradersPost currently has the advantage. If the goal is to scale across trading platforms and prop-firm infrastructures, AlgoWay provides the broader execution architecture.
