AEye equity grant has been awarded to Laura Wrisley following her appointment as the company’s new Chief Revenue Officer. AEye approved 125,000 restricted stock units (RSUs) for Wrisley as an inducement award. The grant supports her transition into the leadership role and aligns her interests with the company’s long-term growth.
AEye’s Compensation Committee approved the equity award on July 28, 2026. The award became effective on August 18, 2026, when Wrisley officially joined the company. The grant falls under AEye’s 2025 Employment Inducement Incentive Award Plan.
The RSUs will vest over several years. One-third of the award will vest on November 15, 2027. The remaining units will vest in equal quarterly installments over the following eight quarters. However, Wrisley must remain employed by AEye through each applicable vesting date.
The company issued the award outside its stockholder-approved equity incentive plans. It did so under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4). The rule allows companies to provide equity awards as an incentive for new employees to join.
Laura Wrisley Brings Extensive Commercial Experience
Wrisley joins AEye with more than two decades of commercial leadership experience. Her background spans data transport, lidar, autonomous robotics, and related technology markets.
Before joining AEye, Wrisley served as Chief Revenue Officer at Vayu Robotics. She helped lead market strategy and commercialization for the autonomous delivery technology company.
Previously, she spent more than four years at Velodyne Lidar. During that time, she advanced to Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Marketing. She helped expand revenue and establish commercial relationships with major automotive manufacturers.
Her experience also extends beyond automotive markets. At Velodyne, she helped expand business opportunities across robotics, drones, mapping, and defense.
Wrisley to Lead Sales and Business Development
At AEye, Wrisley will lead the Sales and Business Development organization. She will also focus on strengthening the company’s go-to-market strategy and commercial execution.
The appointment comes as AEye continues to expand its software-defined lidar business. The company develops lidar solutions for advanced driver-assistance systems, vehicle autonomy, smart infrastructure, security, defense, and logistics.
AEye’s portfolio includes Apollo™, STRATOS™, and the OPTIS™ platform. Apollo™ provides long-range object detection in a compact form factor. STRATOS™ offers detection capabilities extending up to 1.5 kilometers.
Meanwhile, OPTIS™ provides a full-stack sensing solution. The platform captures high-resolution 3D information and interprets the surrounding environment in real time.
According to AEye, Wrisley’s commercial background will support its efforts to convert market opportunities into revenue. Her experience across lidar and autonomous technology also complements the company’s growth strategy.
With Wrisley now leading Sales and Business Development, AEye is positioning its commercial organization for its next stage of expansion. The equity award further connects her leadership role with the company’s long-term performance.
