A Look at the Future of School

A look at how the future of schools can emerge in a better model.

There has been lots of discussion surrounding students making the transition to online school over the course of the pandemic. People who take a stance against virtual school often discuss a lack of structure or a lack of social interaction that can lead to students' grades dropping, but is this actually the case?

Students– especially those who don’t feel as though they fit in– have actually reported enjoying virtual school more than traditional online school.  Online learning provides greater flexibility for students and their families, is more time effective in its overall structure, and has actually been proven to increase students performance more than traditional formats!

Many people have negative opinions about virtual schooling, and those mostly stem from hesitance to move away from the traditional school structure. This isn’t uncommon, we experience hesitance to change all the time, but it is important to look at the hard facts, and it is proven that online school can be much more beneficial to students than the traditional face-to-face model. Times are changing, and so is the way we learn, it’s time to adjust the way we teach as well.
