Sensors are built-in to ensure that each carrier reaches its intended destination. Said carriers then moved through the tubes which run from all corners of the hospital. As far as speed goes, pneumatic tube systems typically transport materials at 25 feet per second. Even when things get busy, carriers can travel the longest distance in the average hospital in less than three minutes.
