The top 1% of companies are spending over $7,000 per employee per month on AI, compared to about $610 among the top 10%. In some cases, these levels of investment approach the cost of a full employee salary. Meanwhile, the median company spends just $11 per employee per month, highlighting a wide gap in AI adoption and spending behavior across firms. While a small group of companies is aggressively scaling AI investment, many others remain early in the adoption curve.
