U.S. spot Bitcoin (BTC.X) and Ether ETFs recorded their strongest combined week since October 2025, pulling in $2.61 billion across five trading sessions ending August 21.

The week reversed the previous period’s combined $391.96 million outflow, a swing of about $3 billion.

Bitcoin ETFs Lead the Charge

Bitcoin funds collected $1.92 billion for the week, with inflows building each day. The run began with $297 million on August 17, climbed to $517 million on August 19, and peaked at $606 million on August 20 before easing to $307 million on the final day.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) was the top performer each session. On August 21 alone, it took in $239 million, nearly 78% of that day’s total.

Cumulative net inflows into the iShares Bitcoin Trust have now reached $62.43 billion since launch. Fidelity’s fund followed with $30 million on the same day, bringing its total to $10.18 billion.

All U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs now hold $96.07 billion in net assets, equal to 6.17% of Bitcoin’s total market value.

The $1.92 billion weekly total is the largest since October 2025, when funds attracted $2.71 billion in one week and $3.24 billion in another.

Ether ETFs Post Strong Gains Too

Ether ETFs added $697 million across the same five sessions, their best week in months. Daily inflows rose from $30 million on August 17 to $221 million on August 20, then finished at $185 million on August 21.

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust led Friday’s session with $151 million. Grayscale’s Ethereum Mini Trust (ETH) followed with $11.5 million.

Total net assets in Ether ETFs reached $14.30 billion by end of session, equal to 4.85% of Ethereum’s market value.

The weekly total topped the entire month of July, when Ether ETFs collected $365 million.

Bitcoin’s price climbed roughly 18% in two days, breaking through $65,000, $70,000, and $75,000 before clearing $76,000 on August 21. Ether also gained about 18% in a single 24-hour stretch, rising above $2,400.

LVRG Research Director Nick Ruck noted that sustained inflows would require more confirmation before pointing to a lasting trend.

Some traders are now rotating into altcoins. Bitcoin Cash gained 31% on August 21, while Ethena rose 27%. Bitcoin dominance held near 59.8%, and the Altcoin Season Index sat at 33 out of 100.

BlackRock captured $390 million combined across both ETFs on Friday, roughly 79% of the day’s total inflows across both categories.
