Monday: Final estimates for December’s Markit Purchasing Managers’ Index will see light throughout the Eurozone.
Tuesday: December’s Caixin PMI will see light in China. In France, December’s Consumer Price Index will see light, where analysts expect annual inflation to increase to 0.8%, amid rising oil prices. December’s Unemployment will see light in Germany, currently at 6%. The preliminary estimate of December’s CPI will also be released in Germany, with analysts seeing annual inflation rise sharply, hitting 1.4%. In Canada, the RBC December PMI will see light. In the U.S., the final estimate for December’s Markit PMI will be released, followed by the month’s ISM Manufacturing Index, as will November’s Construction Spending data.
Wednesday: The final figure for December’s Nikkei PMI will see light in Japan. In France, December’s Consumer Confidence Index data will see light. Unemployment data will see light in Spain. Preliminary December Consumer Price Index data will see light for the Eurozone. In the U.S., the weekly MBA Mortgage Applications will see light, followed by the release of the FOMC Minutes from the month’s rate hike.
Thursday: December’s ADP Employment Change will see light in the U.S., as will the weekly Initial Jobless Claims.
Friday: November Factory Orders data will see light in Germany. The Final estimate of December’s Consumer Confidence Index data will see light for the Eurozone. In Canada, December’s Unemployment data will see light, where analysts see a 0.1% increase. In the U.S., November’s Trade Balance data will see light, as will December’s Nonfarm Payrolls and December’s Unemployment. Also due are November’s U.S. Factory Orders data and the final estimate of November’s Durable Goods Orders.
