What to do if Tenda Router Not Detecting Internet Connection

Steps to Resolve Tenda Router Not Detecting Internet Connection

Before Begin with the solutions in this Blog, make sure that your Internet connection is active by plugging the Internet cable, which may come from your modem, directly into your computer.

Connect the devices together

connect your device to Tenda device by a wired connection with the help of ethernet cable, make sure that the light is responding to the LAN port where the Ethernet cable is connected.

Log into the web-based setup page

  • On the back of the Tenda device, you will find out the login IP address. Enter the IP address on the ULR bar of a web browser.
  • Enter the login username and password, by default "admin", is username and password for both. If you have changed the login IP address or password, you should log in with the new IP address and password.

Check the connection status in the setup page

  • logging into the router as mention above. Click on Advanced Settings 
  • Go to the main menu and Select System Status/Status/Device Info.
  • Navigate to Network Status/WAN Status/WAN, and you will find the Connection status there.
  • Normally, there is three connection status: Disconnected/Connecting/Connected. If it is connecting then wait till connected and if says Disconnected. follow the next steps

Check the hardware connection

unplug the internet cable, which is coming from the modem and plug into the Tenda router. Now change the to cable to check that the ethernet cable is not faulty. The faulty cable causes network connectivity issues. if the status shows connected then ask for a new cable to your ISP 

Reset the Tenda device to factory default

  • Login to the router and go to the setup page, select System Tools/Management/Tools from the main menu,
  • Now select  Restore to Factory Default to reset the Tenda device to the factory default setting.
  • Find a Reset button on the side or bottom of the Tenda device and hold down it for about 10 seconds. all the indicators turn on or off,  all of the customized settings of the Tenda device will be erased and reset to the factory default setting
