Infrastructure---Don't Screw It Up Now

Date: Tuesday, March 30, 2021 2:13 PM EDT

I think i heard about another stimulus plus a new billions spent on infrastructure, but no where did i hear how we were going to pay for it.

Don't screw things up now because a "balanced budget within three years" is an objective that the Biden team ought to commit itself to.  Not only would it be desireable, it is possible  And it is much better to start thinking in those terms now than later, two-years down the road.

And yes, "balancing the budget is important".  First of all, it can be done, with compromises in botht taxes and expenditures.  We are the leader of the world and it is time we commit and stay within a budget.  We use "surplus" funds to pay down debt and/or invest in things we believe in--trying to give those areas a governmental boost.
