Trade Policy Uncertainty

Date: Saturday, October 5, 2019 12:18 PM EDT

"...now that an American president has shown he can take aggressive action to impose tariffs without restraint from Congress, companies in both the US and China are unlikely to forget this risk when planning the location of long-term investment projects." I guess that just about sums it up. And not just as it relates to the US and China but to every US trading partner. But, perhaps, most importantly you can kiss goodbye to the post WWII global environment in which the US put a lid on just about everything and, in the process, pretty much kept the peace. Don't cha just love nationalism?
