Some Quick Market Observations…
Over the last six months especially, we’ve seen tremendous strength in the cumulative advance decline line. Seeing these continued higher highs on the price chart above, it really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that most of the broader market has been “grinding” higher as well.

Broad Market Update
This week the S+P 500 eventually found support and rallied into the end of the holiday shortened week. The support level came in at the midpoint of the February lows to the early April highs. This week’s rally also seemed to take out the short setup, or midpoint from early April highs to this week’s low.
New All Time Highs For The Energy Sector
The energy sector has been on fire recently. The only sector so far to take out it’s early April highs by any significant margin. The XLE is up 1.1% year to date.
Amazon Update
Amazon (AMZN) looks to have found at least some short term support near the zone that we pointed out in a prior post. The stock price seems to have completed an A-B-C correction pattern as it experienced two separate but similar sized drops of about $70 points
S+P 500 Update
This week the S+P 500 tested it’s midpoint from the February lows to the April highs(white dotted horizontal line). The market consolidated for a couple of days and now is pushing higher, now back above it’s 50 day moving average.
