COVID-19 has brought havoc to many people’s lives and has caused huge amounts of stress on millions of people - the COVID-19 pandemic has caused 2 out of every 3 Americans to feel anxious, depressed, hopeless, or lonely at least one time per week. This continuous stress can do all sorts of damage to the human brain. One of the first signs of stress is in panic buying - a symptom many are showing. Over the course of just the first 5 weeks of the pandemic, supermarkets and stores quickly ran out of many different household items and foods. Hand sanitizer, toilet paper, all types of alcohol, baking yeast, meats, and other resources have all seen hundreds of percent increase in sales. Purchases of vegetable seeds, chickens, and freezers have also seen massive increases in sales.
