The COVID pandemic brought numerous changes to the way we operate in business. Working from a remote location has now become the accepted norm and business travel has dropped significantly.
Business events are still valuable and are not going away, even in physical form, but more individuals are interested in virtual or hybrid events. Much of the workforce who used to travel regularly, say they are putting their suitcases away for good. They want to be able to attend events with virtual options.
Nevertheless, all the additional technology has been draining to us a humans; ie. prolonged eye contact and lack of natural body language. Human interactions aren’t biologically designed to happen across a screen. However, our desire for locational freedom trumps the discomfort of the experience.
With all of this in mind, it’s imperative that businesses find a way to create events that cater to multiple kinds of audiences. There are those who want to attend virtually, those who want to attend physically, and those who want a mixture of the two.
A hybrid event satisfies every audience with the experience they want to have for every business event. It weaves the old into the new and keeps business events moving forward with the future.
