I've been saying it for a while—we're in a stealth recession. The job numbers are misleading, the economy is weak, and government statistics are sugar-coating the truth. 

Why? Because inflation is understated in the CPI and the GDP deflator. That lets the government make a shrinking economy look like it's growing. But if you live in the real world, you’re not fooled.
