The Trucking Tonnage Index has rebounded from what was described as a cold weather decline. Related to Retail Sales, this index continues to hold relatively steady indicating steady economic demand. This is a Feb number and does not reflect the current tariff gyrations. We will need to see the Apr 2025 report coming mid-May to see any economic impact from the current headline generated volatility if any.
