Supreme Court Rules That Aereo Is Illegal

Today the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that TV start-up Aereo violates copyright law by using tiny antennas to provide subscribers with broadcast network content via the Internet and this news was basically a big win for those in the network industry as the video below will explain.

Here is my firm's research on the biggest winner from this news CBS (CBS):

I have not yet added CBS to my clients portfolios because I was, firstly waiting for this Supreme Court decision to come out and then I like to buy stocks after companies report their earnings so I can avoid any surprises that may show up. CBS will report on August 7th, so I will let the company report and then decide what to do about it.

I am all about content providers these days as I see them as a conservative growth engine for the next few decades as companies like NetFlix (NFLX) , Amazon (AMZN) and even Cable companies like Comcast (CMCSA) are ever expanding and there is a huge demand for entertainment content.

Companies that I find very attractive right now are:

Discovery Communications (DISCA)

Scripps Networks (SNI)

I am not a big fan of Netflix or Amazon's stock prices at the moment, though I am a customer of both.  I find both to be very overbought by Wall Street.  Instead I am investing in their competition Outerwall (OUTR) which you can read my latest article on the company by going HERE and Comcast (CMCSA), which provides the Broadband for both Netflix and Amazon to stream their content.

This was an amazing day for those in the entertainment network and content industry and a very bad day for Aereo, as it will most likely be forced to close up shop.
