In this week's podcast I discuss the Elliott Wave weekly update for the S&P 500, focusing on the completion of cycle wave 3, which began in 1949. I emphasize that the S&P ais in the finishing stages of this wave, though some Elliotticians are calling it a super cycle or grand super cycle. I explain that I am looking at the cycle level and don't agree  that the wave has already finished at the highs.

I do though discuss the market's current state, and put some time in on discussing a failed fifth wave and signs of market exhaustion. I explain the concept of a truncated fifth wave and its implications for the market's direction. I also delved into the history of the 2008-2009 financial crisis, highlighting key events and the subsequent bank takeovers. I presented two potential counts for the market, one suggesting the fourth wave is still in progress, and the other indicating its completion at the November 21st low.
