Magic Formula Weekly Roundup - October 15, 2015

This may be one of the lowest turnover weeks in the Magic Formula screens that I can recall!

A grand total of 3 slots turned over last week, 2 in the 50 over 50 million screen, and just one in the top 30 over 3 billion. The top 50 over 1 billion screen was identical!

Collectors Universe (CLCT) had a good week, finishing up almost 10%. While there doesn't seem to be any meaningful news, CLCT had sold off substantially since the summer, down to under $16 from a high near $24. I've always liked CLCT. PCGS (owned by Collector's) operates in a near-duopoly with NGC in the coin grading market, and the company has always paid a very large dividend. Currently the dividend is just a shade under 8%.

Weight Watchers (WTW), on the other hand, is a difficult one to figure. The stock has seen a massive move from under $4 at the end of July to about $7 today - a 75% move! There have really been no particular positive news, and there are a lot of financial health risks with this stock.

Here are the lists:

Entering the 50 over 50 million screen:

VASCO Data Security International Inc (VDSI)
Weight Watchers International Inc. (WTW)

Dropping out of the 50 over 50 million screen:

BSQUARE Corp (BSQR)
