2 Semiconductor Companies: Intel And Lattice Semi

Checking in on two long term charts as highlighted in NFTRH+ updates and still held by me personally.

Intel broke upward (turning resistance to support) on increased corporate PC demand after it was initiated.  I also bought more on a recent pullback.  Intel still has the mobile chip market in its back pocket (I think), which was the main non-technical reason for my interest.  Corporate PC’s was a bonus.  IMO this can easily get over 40 if they start making any noise about mobile.

Lattice Semi apparently has some cool chips that have won major contracts with the likes of Google, but it also has a rich valuation to match.  So I watch this one more closely than Intel.  However, a breakout above long term resistance is a breakout above long term resistance until it no longer is.  LSCC was initiated after holding this resistance (now support) level for a couple months.

I know there is increasing talk out there about the Semi’s being in a bubble and I myself have often compared the SOX’ current state to 1999.  But look above and tell me if Intel is a bubble or if it was some kind of a value stock seeking out future fundamentals, ala Blackberry, which I still hold as well.

We’ll see.  I am married to nothing with the broad market up here and possibly beginning to separate from the fundamentals that even conventional analysts measure.  A later post will highlight that possibility.
