Microsoft Announces AI-Powered Bing And Edge

Calling it “your copilot for the web,” Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President & Consumer Chief Marketing Officer, announced the incorporation of a combination of OpenAI and Microsoft AI tools into its Bing search engine and Edge browser.

“AI will fundamentally change every software category, starting with the largest category of all: search,” said Satya Nadella, Microsoft Chairman and CEO. “Today, we’re launching Bing and Edge powered by AI copilot and chat, to help people get more from search and the web.” You can see a preview of the tech at bing.com.

Now it’s official. Microsoft launched its “Google killer” and Google launched Bard, an AI tool to help them get you to ignore everything that Microsoft has planned.

There are more than 10 billion searches per day; according to Microsoft, more than half of them go unanswered. It really doesn’t matter which company wins this battle; no matter what, the outcome will be great for consumers.
