European markets are down over fear of Ukrainian battles.

DRUGS

*Merck MRK was tipped by Brad Thomas and Gen Alpha. We told U first.

*The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation for Bavarian Nordic's phase III vaccine candidate, MVA-BN RSV, for active immunization for prevention of lower respiratory tract disease caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in adults aged 60 years or older. It combines 5 RSV-specific antigens to stimulate antibody and cellular response to RSV. BAVA began phase III trials early this year. While RSV is normally mild it can cause severe lung infection, bronchiolitis, and pneumonia in immunocompromised people, and the old and young.

*GSK fell 3.09% today in UK trading.

*Pfizer PFE and BioNTech BNTX did not get FDA approval for their Covid-19 vaccine for kids because the regulators want more data. 

*TEVA rose 0.29% over the weekend in Israel. It reported a beat in EPS but a miss in sales.

*Eli Lilly is up on hopes for its omicron covid-19 jab. LLY.

TECH & TEL

*National Bank of Canada raised its outlook for CAE. The share is up 1.2%. It was misrated last week over its Q3 results which were treated as those for Q4.

*Mercado Libre in Brazil is up over 4%. MELI.

*AT&T was upgraded to overweight from neutral by JPMorgan. T.

*Fibra Uno rose 5.77% today. FBASF.

FINANCE

*AAIGF gained 2.73% in European trading. People are buying insurance. 

*Mexican Credito Real was suspended from operations by the Central Bank.

*Clariant was charged with accounting fraud. CLZNY.

MATERIALS

*Chilean SoQuiMich is up 20.69% there. 

*Lockheed dropped its bid for Aerojet Rocketdyne because of regulatory risks. LMT.
