TikTok To Invest Over EUR 12 Billion In The Next 10 Years To Secure European User Data

Multinational social media companies have made a lot of efforts in user data and privacy protection, which is conducive to integrating into the local market environment and maintaining corporate image.

TikTok has released a statement announcing that it will invest more than EUR 12 billion in Europe over the next 10 years to implement Project Clover, which aims to protect the data of more than 150 million European users. "Project Clover" includes two data centers in Ireland and one in Norway, for the European user data stored locally. The data center in Ireland is already operational and will begin storing user data this year.
