Randstad Recruits Human Resources Worldwide

The Industrials Sector includes twenty-three industries all related to designing, fabricating and servicing stuff we want and use. The industrials industries range from aerospace and defense to waste management with all the transportation, business services, and equipment required in between.

Today I'm reviewing a Large Cap Dutch-based Staffing & Outsourcing Services firm offering a wide range of human resources solutions and services.

The company's name is Randstad NV. It's trading ticker symbol is RANJY

Randstad NV provides solutions in the field of flexible work and human resources (HR) services. It offers regular temporary staffing and permanent placement services. The company recruits supervisors, managers, professionals, interim specialists, and consultants for middle and senior leadership positions.

The company serves clients primarily in the information technology, call centers, engineering, finance and accounting, healthcare, communication, sales and marketing, automotive, HR, life sciences, manufacturing, logistics, hospitality, education, and legal sectors.

It has operations in North America, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Iberia, Italy,  and internationally.

The company was formerly known as Randstad Holding NV and changed its name to Randstad NV in April 2018. Randstad NV was founded in 1960 and is headquartered in Diemen, the Netherlands.

I use three key data points gauge the value of any dividend equity or fund like Randstad NV:

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

After those three, four more keys will finally unlock an equity or fund in which to invest.

No matter what, it's the first three primary traits that best tell whether a company has made, is making, and will make money.

RANJY Price

Randstad's price was $31.72 per share at yesterday's market close. A year ago its price was $29.02 for a gain of $2.70 per share in the past year.

Assuming RANJY's price will continue to trade in the range of $28.00 to $37.00 next year, its price could grow another $2.70 from $31.72 to $34.42 by early May 2019.

RANJY Dividends

Randstad's most recently declared variable semi-annual dividend was $0.42 per share declared in April and payable October 12th. That will make $1.69  total annual dividend for 2018 yielding 5.6% at yesterday's $31.72 stock price.

Gains For RANJY?

The $2.70 estimated year over year price gain plus an anticipated dividend of  $1.69 makes a projected gross annual gain of $4.39 per share, which will be reduced by the costs to trade these shares.

$1,000.00 invested today at the $31.72 price buys 32 shares.

A $10 broker fee paid half at purchase and half at sale subtracts about $0.31 per share

Taking that $0.31 brokerage cost out of the estimated $4.39 gross gain per share leaves a net gain of $4.08 X 32 shares

= $130.56

or a 13% potential net gain on a $1,015.04 investment.

Therefore, Randstad NV (whose ticker symbol is RANJY), now shows a possible 13% net gain including a 5.6% dividend yield.

No analysts cover this stock. However, Y Charts has rated it "attractive" for an overall "Y" rating and shows "Good" Value, at a rating of 9/10. Y Charts also shows "Strong" Fundamentals, at 10/10 and a 2.37% Under a $32.49 Historic Valuation score.

You could look at all those numbers like this: Randstad NV has made money, is making money, and could net a 13% net gain next year including  5.6% dividend yield. It could be more, it could be less.

Those forward-looking numbers were conjecture based on past year performance. Actual results remain to be seen. They could turn out to be far higher or lower. More study is required for you to determine if Randstad NV is worth your time and money.
