New Ancillary Pot Stocks Index Tracks 16 Companies Servicing Sector

Most sector commentators and marijuana ETFs include marijuana-related stocks in their approach to the sector which conveys a distorted picture of the health of the sector. The launch of the new munKNEE Ancillary Pot Stocks Index corrects the situation by tracking the performance of 16 companies that provide goods and services to cannabis operators separately.

 A description of each of the constituents and their stock performances last week are as follows, in descending order of performance:

  1. Enwave Corp. (NWVCF): +23.8% to $1.30/share
    • a technology company that has developed Radiant Energy Vacuum, an innovative, proprietary method for the precise dehydration of organic materials.
  2. Forian Inc. (FORA): +17.1% to $11.42/share
    • provides a suite of SaaS solutions, data management capabilities, and proprietary data and analytics to optimize and measure operational, clinical, and financial performance for customers within the traditional and emerging life sciences, healthcare payer and provider segments, as well as cannabis dispensaries, manufacturers, cultivators, and regulators.
  3. Power REIT MD (PW): +7.9% to $49.90/share
    • a specialized real estate investment trust (REIT) that owns sustainable real estate related to infrastructure assets and is actively seeking to expand its real estate portfolio related to Controlled Environment Agriculture for the cultivation of food and cannabis.
  4. GrowGeneration Corp. (GRWG): +6.9% to $54.02/share
    • a retailer of organic nutrients and soils, advanced lighting technology, and state-of-the-art hydroponic equipment to commercial and home growers in 53 retail stores in the U.S...
  5. AFC Gamma Inc. (AFCG): +6.0% to $22.39/share 
    • a real estate finance company operating as a mortgage real estate investment trust (mREIT) to provide loans to marijuana operators.
  6. Hydrofarm Holdings Group Inc. (HYFM): +5.6% to $60.71/share
    • a wholesaler and manufacturer of hydroponics equipment and commercial horticultural products in the lighting, climate control, nutrients, and growing media categories.
  7. Innovative Industrial Properties Inc. (IIPR): +1.3% to $188.99/share
    • a real estate investment trust engaged in the acquisition, ownership and management of specialized industrial properties leased to state-licensed operators for their regulated medical-use cannabis facilities.
  8. Agrify Corporation (AGFY); +/-0% @ $12.63/share
    • a developer of highly advanced and proprietary precision hardware and software grow solutions for the indoor agriculture marketplace, executed an IPO on January 28th, which raised $54M and became listed on the Nasdaq the day after.
    • Agrify has a market capitalization of $253M and last traded at $12.62/share
  9. Scotts Miracle-Gro Company (SMG): -0.4% to $248.99/share
    • a marketer of consumer lawn and gardening products and, through its subsidiary Hawthorne Gardening, is a leader in hydroponic and indoor growing products for the cannabis industry.
  10. urban-gro Inc. (UGRO): -0.4% to $8.47/share
    • a global horticulture company that engineers and designs commercial Controlled Environment Agriculture facilities and integrates complex environmental equipment systems.
  11. Cannabix Technologies Inc. (BLOZF): -1.7% to $1.17/share 
    • a leader in marijuana breathalyzer development for law enforcement and the workplace.
  12. Turning Point Brands Inc. (TPB): -2.0% to $51.34/share
    • a manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of alternative smoking accessories and consumables with active ingredients through more than 210,000 retail outlets in North America.
  13. Greenlane Holdings Inc. (GNLN): -2.6% to $6.04/share
    • a cannabis accessories e-commerce company which has announced a merger with the cannabis packaging company, KushCo.
  14. TILT Holdings Inc. (TLLTF): -3.6% to $0.53/share
    • services brands and cannabis retailers across 35 American states, as well as Canada, Israel, Mexico, South America, and the European Union, through a portfolio of companies providing technology, hardware, cultivation, and production.
  15. KushCo Holdings Inc. (KSHB): -3.7% to $1.29/share
    • to merge with Greenlane and become a wholly-owned subsidiary.
  16. Akerna Corp. (KERN): -8.0% to $4.70/share
    • a technology company that offers MJ Platform, an enterprise resource planning system to the cannabis industry, and Leaf Data Systems, a tracking system designed for government agencies, to provide clients and government entities with a central data management system for tracking regulated cannabis products from seed-to-product-to-shelf-to-customer through the supply chain.
