Oil stocks are up on huge gains. BP plc hit an 8 year high of 12.8 bn bucks and its Q4 eps hit $4.11 bn. Shell last week also soared although its consensus now is for earnings of $1.58, down from 1.62.

I bought some Petrobras for the dividend. PBR.

However, CTRA fell 4.31% here. It was downgraded by 1 cent to $1.03 but rated buy rather than hold.

Nuclear miner Cameco CCJ reports pre-market tomorrow and is expected to be down.

Pres. Biden threatens to cancel Nordstream if Russia invades Ukraine.

Agriculture is hot and Deere DE rose $1.05 on rival gains.

*Banco Santander rose 2.5% in Euro trading today. SAN.

*BCE's estimated earnings was chopped to C$8.04 from 8.11.

*State Street is up 1.91%. STT.

*JP Morgan JPM was accused of "predatory Practice" over its credit card debt collection by the Senate Banking Committee because of using lawsuits. This was not the first time the leading bank got into hot water for lawsuits, as it paid $216 mn in fines in 2015 for similar practices.

*Bitcoin fell 2.45% overnight after hitting a new high yesterday.

Pharma

*Pfizer PFE reported today and its sales missed forecasts although profits beat. It fell 3.08%. This led to drops in other pharma stocks, with Eli Lilly EPS cut to $2.06 from 2.1 and its rating raised to buy from hold. 

*Novo Nordisk in Demark was upgraded to SK5.48 from 5.45. NVO.

*Merck was given a higher target price at $1.81 from 1.7.MRK.

*Eli Lilly was rated buy but its eps was cut to $2.06 from 2.1. LLY.

*Hardest hit was Israel's TEVA which fell 2.54%.

*Sanofi of France was tipped by Mare but there are issues about how its dividends are taxed. SNY.

*JNJ was accused of not producing vaccines it agreed to provide to emerging markets countries.

Tech

*The plan by Nvidia NVDA to sell ARM to Softbank collapsed because of regulatory issues. The deal was set for $40 mn or more.

*Telefonica rose 2.5% after its EPS estimate was raised to $2.91 from 2.84. TEF.

*BAE Systems gained 2.06%. It earns heaps of dollars. BAESY.
